Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I got to celebrate Christmas with my boyfriend before he left for Tennessee! He got me two Cricut cartridges, Sweet Treats & Designer Calendars! Also Design Studio! I am having loads of fun playing with those! He also got me a much needed new blow dryer, a pink one of course! We also celebrated Christmas with my big brother, Marcus, and his family! They got me some great pink kitchen utensils and the new Norah Jones CD I've been wanting! My Dad got me pink binoculars! (are you seeing a trend yet?) Mike's Mom, Peggy got me two sweaters, one PINK and the other black! My Mom made me a pink hat and scarf! My friend, Jennifer, got me a pink t-shirt from Lane Bryant, (love their clothes), Japanese Cherry Blossom perfume, and bath set of the same scent! I think I've done pretty good this year! I didn't have to do a lot of baking, so I did my "world famous" Chocolate No Bake cookies! (recipe below & feel free to right click and save!) I also made banana bread for the first time! It turned out fantastic! I hope everyone has a great Christmas with their families and a wonderful and safe New year!

I just had to share this totally adorable picture I took of my Nephew, Bobby! He was helping me decorate the Christmas tree and insisted on wearing his Santa hat!!! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and get's everything on their wish list!!!

My new Love!

Knitting is my new passion! This is a hat and scarf I've made for a Christmas gift! The lighting is bad, but it's a beautiful bright Cherry Red!! I have several other projects in the works as well! I plan to make most of my Christmas gifts this year!!

Christmas Cards

I got the new BasicGrey Greeting Card kit: Eskimo Kisses from my local store and it only took me about an hour to complete all 8 cards!! I just love the color's and how cute the little deer is!!! I totally recommend this kit, very easy instructions to follow!

So Proud!

Bobby was so proud to see a big ribbon on the picture of him! But, he only allowed me to take 1 picture of him holding it! Good thing it turned out good! lol

Fair Fun!

Alisha came to visit so she got to go to the fair with us! We had a great time! The Beach Boy's where playing at the Grandstand, so we had great music, and we got to eat an elephant ear before we left!

The County Fair!

I decided to enter a couple items into the fair this year! I entered the photo of my nephew I took last may and the cross-stitch I made for my brother last Christmas! I got first place on my cross-stitch! Yeah! Then we headed over to the photography building and I nearly fell over! I got Best of Show on my photo! WoW! How awesome is that!?! I'm still in the running to get People's Choice Award also, if enough people vote for mine! But, I'm happy with what I have!

Bentley in the Car!

The story behind this video: This is Bentley. We were waiting in the car for my Dad and he was getting hot! Apparently when he get's hot, his....hmmm...butt itches! So, he had to do what he had to do! And yes, that's me chuckling in the back ground! Enjoy!

My new Necklaces!

I had a day to myself! So, I'm trying my hand at making bead necklaces! What do you think? Any advice would be awesome! I just used what I had on hand, so no charms or anything like that yet!

Selective Coloring!

Alisha came to visit this weekend and we had a great time shopping! She gave me this awesome magazine called "The Ultimate Guide to Digital Scrapbooking" by Better Homes and Gardens Creative Collection! I am in love with this magazine! So, I started playing with some of the features! I chose this photo from my trip to California to do selective coloring! It was so much easier then I ever thought it would be!

A project for a stormy day!

I picked up a couple of Tea Towels from my local craft store with the idea of making aprons! I searched online for some simple directions but the one's I found were not suited for a plus size lady such as myself! So, this is what came out and the first one looks orange but it is actually a salmon pink. Not sure why my camera didn't pick that up! Let me know what you think!

Digital Scrapbooking

I've been trying my hand at digital scrapbooking and I am really enjoying it! It's just another way to preserve those memories! And really great for doing recipe pages! But, this is the first page I put together using a free kit I downloaded! I've been downloading free stuff like crazy!

California Road Trip

These are my pics from our trip to California! Mike, (my boyfriend), his Mom, and I all drove down to watch Mike's Son, Brad, graduate from high school in Newport Beach, CA! It was a really long trip, a couple day's drive down and back! We took Highway 1 for the first day on the way home, which is right along the ocean coast! Beautiful scenery! I would love one day to travel as far as possible all the way down from here in WA down to CA on highway 1, but I'm pretty sure that would take weeks! lol Enjoy my pics!

Giant Indoor Garage Sale!

I finally got the chance to sell my little sticky note books I've been making! Our town had a giant indoor garage sale and a friend of mine had a booth and a little extra table space for me! So, I laid them all out in hope's someone might think they are cute! I didn't do too bad! I made a little extra cash and came home with almost half of what I took! I'm not sure if I want to make more and try again or not. Maybe when the Christmas Bazaars start up!

NSD Make and Take!

National Scrapbook Day was a blast! I really didn't get much actual scrapbooking done, but I did get a lot of shopping done! We went to Craft Warehouse and they did this awesome little make and take! They had different table's set up to do each page then you go up and they bind it for you using the bind-it-all! (which I own and LOVE!) I also bought the new Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper and I'm totally in love with it! It is a fantastic tool to own! I also got it 40% off which make's me love it even more!
